The Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (ANNT), in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Science (FMON), is delighted to present the first edition of the AI Landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This project offers the first comprehensive overview of the artificial intelligence (AI) development ecosystem in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aim of the AI Landscape is to map innovative companies and other institutions that integrate AI into their operations and contribute to its development in BiH and beyond. The Landscape showcases technological progress in our country and serves as a resource for businesses, investors and policymakers who want to understand and engage with the AI sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
By categorising companies according to the extent to which AI is applied in their products and operations, as well as by area of application, the AI Landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina provides a clear picture of the current use of AI in BiH. The companies and institutions included are leading the development of AI, demonstrating its potential to transform business and stimulate economic growth.
The process of researching and classifying companies for the AI Landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina is based on an extensive analysis of publicly available data. These data include relevant press publications, reviews of the membership of various organisations, data provided to us by the organisations themselves through their websites or online correspondence, and relevant content on professional platforms. ANNT members and partner organisations served as the starting point for collecting and categorising information, which allowed us to ensure, as best we could, that each company was placed in the appropriate category that best reflects its focus and application of AI technologies.
