Event: The First Bosnian-Herzegovinian Teacher Programme

Are you a teacher of physics or a related science at a secondary school in Bosnia and Herzegovina? Would you like to visit the world's leading laboratory and learn more about modern research? Can't wait to share your impressions with your students?

The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (ANNT) invite you to the first Bosnian-Herzegovinian teacher programme, to be held at CERN from 4 to 8 February 2020. The programme includes scientific lectures in our language, visits to CERN experiments, exhibitions and hands-on workshops aimed at introducing participants to current research in particle physics. You can view the detailed programme at this link. On your return to Bosnia and Herzegovina, you will be a CERN ambassador who passes on the knowledge gained to the next generation of physicists, engineers, IT specialists and others.

The programme is completely free of charge for all participants. CERN provides all scientific, administrative and technical support, as well as partial financial support for other costs. ANNT is organising bus transport from Sarajevo to Geneva and back, as well as accommodation in the CERN hostel and meals in the CERN restaurant.
Applications must be submitted by 2 December this year at the latest via the website at this link. The participant selection committee will pay particular attention to your motivation letter.

We look forward to seeing you!
