The Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology invites secondary school pupils to apply for STEM Youth Camp 2019 this summer. Through an exciting five-day programme, pupils will have the opportunity to explore the world of STEM together with ANNT, gain new knowledge and skills, and make new friends from all over BiH.
At the camp, participants will be able to learn about contemporary scientific and technical trends and gain insight into the experiences of our distinguished scientists who have worked, or still work, at prestigious world institutions.
In addition, they will be able to find out what it is like to work professionally in science, in academia or industry, and how the choice of university can help them get off to a good start in their careers.
Through technical and soft skills workshops, participants will be able to explore their creativity and affinities and develop their problem-solving and teamwork skills. The camp is also an excellent opportunity to spend quality time with peers with similar interests and build new friendships.
The camp is intended primarily for pupils in the third and fourth years of secondary school, but outstanding applications from pupils in lower years will also be considered.
Priority will be given to pupils who did not take part in STEM Youth Camp 2018, but applications from last year's participants will also be considered.
Accommodation will be provided at the Garden City hotel in Konjic, and all participation costs are covered, including accommodation, meals and transport.
The deadline for applications is 22 July 2019, and STEM Youth Camp 2019 begins on 06 August 2019.
