Our members Nudžeim Selimović and Selver Pepić are preparing another interesting workshop for STEM Youth Camp 2022, and here is their message to the camp participants:
“Today's science can explain and predict a huge number of phenomena: from the behaviour of elementary particles (protons, electrons, etc.) and molecules (DNA) to the motion and evolution of planets and stars, and even the entire cosmos.
This knowledge has been developed through a slow and precise process called the scientific method, the key to which is the objective comparison of your prediction (hypothesis) with what has been measured in reality – i.e. the key to the scientific method is experiment, and if your hypothesis (prediction) does not agree with the measured data, your hypothesis is wrong, regardless of anything else.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to be a scientist for a day and, with our help, apply the scientific method to an everyday but invisible phenomenon ... and what exactly it is, you will find out at the camp :D”
