Event: Balkan Academy of Management: Building Bridges
We are delighted to introduce the Balkan Academy of Management, which is launching its work with a two-day conference bringing together academics, business leaders and doctoral students from across the region.
The Academy aims to connect management education with real market needs, strengthen academic excellence, support the development of research, and shape the future of management education in the Balkans.
Through panel discussions, expert sessions and interactive workshops, the Academy creates a platform for cross-border knowledge exchange and long-term partnerships.
Day one, Friday 27 March from 15:00, is devoted to “Bridging the Gap: Management Education Meets Market Needs”, with a World Café on education and the market, a conversation between executives and academics, and work on a research agenda. Day two, Saturday 28 March, is “Building Academic Excellence”, with panels on AI in higher education and on academic careers across borders, a session with journal editors, workshops and the launch of the Academy and its membership.
The conference takes place on 27–28 March 2026 at Hotel Europe in Sarajevo. Entry is free for members of the Academy; the programme and registration are at balkanam.org.
